Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service, Friday At 6pm In Bath

May 17, 2021

BATH, NY – Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard announces the Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service is set for 6 p.m. Friday May 21, at the Steuben County Public Safety Building Law Enforcement Memorial Park.

The ceremony follows the county’s weeklong celebration last week of “Steuben County Police Officers Week” and is open to the public.

It will be attended by state and local officials, law enforcement personnel and veterans. First instituted by county Sheriff David Cole in 2015, the ceremony recognizes the sacrifices made by all law enforcement officers in Steuben and six neighboring counties.

“Every year, we honor those who gave their lives in service to the people of this region,” Allard said. “This year will mark more than a year of a different kind of sacrifice, with our men and women dedicating countless hours protecting the welfare and safety of others during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

For all attending, COVID protocol and social distancing will be implemented.
