Chautauqua County Executive Borrello Releases Campaign Video

April 17, 2019

Statement From George Borrello:

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY – Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello today released a video officially announcing his campaign for State Senate. Borrello, running as the endorsed Republican, Conservative and Independent, is seeking to represent the 57th District in the wake of Senator Cathy Young’s retirement.

In his campaign kickoff video, which can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqwMNwOnmQI, Borrello notes the need for our region to continue having a representative that advocates for our needs and fights for our values.

“I’m so proud to be running to be our next State Senator,” Borrello said. “Too often, our region is ignored and our needs are forgotten. I’m running for State Senate to change that. As a county executive and a county legislator before that, I’ve dedicated myself to working directly with the people I’m elected to serve. As our next State Senator, I will go above and beyond the expectations of an elected official to help our communities succeed.”

George Borrello was elected Chautauqua County Executive in 2017 with 64 percent of the vote in a county with nearly equal Republican and Democrat enrollment. In his first 100 days as County Executive, Borrello met with 107 local businesses and groups. As Executive, he’s championed more efficient government, attacked blight in our communities and delivered tax cuts for families and businesses.

Prior to becoming County Executive, Borrello was a longtime Chautauqua County Legislator, where he chaired the Planning and Economic Development Committee, served as Vice-Chair of the Audit and Control Committee and became the first Chairman of the Lake Erie Management Commission and became its first chairman. Born and raised in northern Chautauqua County, Borrello started his own business providing products and services to the hospitality industry, where he worked with several national companies.
