Bradley L. “Brad” Hoskins, formerly of Hornell and Arkport

MANCHESTER, NY-Bradley L. “Brad” Hoskins, 50, of 48 Clover Crossing, formerly of Hornell & Arkport, died unexpectedly at his home.

Born in North Hornell on July 9, 1964, he was the son of Robert & Joyce (Smalt) Hoskins.

 

Brad resided in Hornell until the age of six when his family moved to Arkport. He was a graduate of Arkport Central School (class of 1982). He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne Military Police Unit. While in the US Army, he was stationed in several locations, including Germany.

 

Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Brad moved back to the Hornell-Arkport area. He was employed for several years at Magic Cleaners in Hornell, working alongside his father. He later owned and operated his own Chem-Dry Franchise in Hornell.

 

Brad lived in Rochester for several years where he was employed as a car salesman at various car dealerships. Most recently he worked as a salesman for Balentine RV in Victor, NY.

 

He was an avid football fan and especially enjoyed rooting for the Buffalo Bills. He loved target shooting (both pistols & rifles) and had been a member of the Canaseraga American Legion.

 

Surviving are 2 sons, Caden (Lindsey) Hoskins of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tyler Hoskins of Myrtle Beach, SC; 2 brothers, Wayne (Anna) Hoskins of Canaseraga and Alan (Kristine) Hoskins of Georgetown, KY; 1 sister, Candice Clark; 1 grandson, Bowen Hoskins; several nieces & nephews including his “special buddy, Jeremy Hoskins.

 

At Brad’s request there will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.

 

In recognition of Brad’s service to his country as a member of the US Army, the American Flag at the Dagon Funeral Home will be flown at half-staff.
