BATH, NY – The Steuben County Office Building in Bath is closed today. County health officials say that it’s believed that a person whose been tested for Covid-19 walked through the county office building on Friday, so out of an abundance of caution, the county office building is closed today.
County Courts will be opening today at 10 am for emergencies ONLY at the Surrogates Building in Bath. ALL court appearances in Bath are cancelled and will be rescheduled. Court in Hornell is open today.
Update 9:03am: From Sheriff Jim Allard:
The Steuben County Office Buliding, located at 3 East Pulteney Square and the Steuben County Mental Health Services Building located on Liberty Street, Bath, NY, are temporarily closed. This closure is due to a Covid-19 related incident which will require cleaning and sanitizing prior to re-opening. If you require services normally received at the County Office Building or the Mental Health services building, please call 211. If you have an emergency please call 911. Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.
