Cuomo Refuses Reed’s Request For Nursing Home Documents

June 19, 2020

On Thursday, Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) and Congressman Steve Scalise (R, Louisiana) held a Zoom Conference, where they spoke about the number of nursing home deaths in New York State. The New York Post quotes Reed as saying the number is much higher than the 6200, that is usually reported. “We know black and white at least 6,200 grandparents were killed by that deadly order …since that time it is clear many more, thousands,” Reed said. The NY Post also reports that Governor Andrew Cuomo is not going to turn any documents over. “The Republicans in Congress, they think there’s a vulnerability. The Republicans in Congress just sent letters just to, just to Democratic states about the nursing homes,” Cuomo stated.
