STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – From The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office:
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on January 1, 2021, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephen A Simonowicz, age 66, of Rectenwald Road, Dansville, New York, following a report of a physical altercation in a domestic incident at that residence. It is alleged that Mr. Simonowicz violated a duly served order of protection and harassed and restrained a protected person who was a member of his family or household. It is further alleged that Mr. Simonowicz attempted to prevent the deputies from investigating this incident. Mr. Simonowicz was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree,
Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Mr. Simonowicz was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
