CityandStateNY.com reports that Governor Kathy Hochul says that “the era of defunding the police is over.” According to City And State NY, the governor is putting millions of dollars into public safety, and is tripling the amount of state aid, to district attorneys offices.
Hochul is also opposed to making it so police officers can be personally sued, for misconduct. A police department can be sued, but not the individual officer. The governor is getting pushback from NYC Progressives, that want to make it so individual cops can be sued.
