Yesterday, the Hornell Board of Public Safety accepted a bid for two new ambulances. The Fire Department expects the ambulances to be delivered in the Spring at which time they will replace the two oldest in the fleet.
Mayor John Buckley says the City is entering into a rotational leasing program with ambulances that mirrors the program with police vehicles. The mayor says this is part of the ongoing commitment to strengthen public safety in Hornell.
