Hornell School Board Hears Risk Assessment Audit Report

January 5, 2022

HORNELL, NY – The Hornell Board of Education meeting last night, began with the school system’s internal auditor presenting the results of the school’s internal risk assessment audit. “They audit several aspects of our operation from safety, procedures and application of policy, purchasing, professional services we hire, and more,” said School Superintendent Jeremy Palotti. “This year’s audit was clean with no findings or areas of concern for correction or corrective action which was wonderful to see.”

Also, school principals presented on the events from December including several musical performances, and those present heard about the support that the community provided for families during the holidays and the instruction and learning that is happening in Hornell School classes.

Superintendent Palotti ended with a thank you to the community for their support of our capital project vote. “This is an exciting time for the district and mainly for the Intermediate School,” Palotti said. “We will have many updates on this and the timeline for work in this building as time passes.”
