JASPER, NY – From Jasper-Troupsburg Central Superintendent LeeAnne Jordan:
As soon as the District learned of the Go Fund Me page, we requested that it be disabled and taken down both by contacting the person who created it and by contacting Go Fund Me. Our Board of Education President also issued a statement that the page was not District approved, and that people should not donate to it. Honestly, it was simply a case of a well-meaning community member trying to do a nice thing to show support. Go Fund Me told us that it would take 5 days for the page to be taken down, but that it should be disabled so that people cannot contribute to it.
