ERWIN, NY –  State Police are releasing information about a fatal motorcycle accident that happened on Monday night, shortly before 8pm.

Troopers say that they attempted to stop a motorcycle that was clocked at 107 mph, on I-86 in the Town of Erwin.  According to state police, a trooper running radar in the U-turn near exit 42, activated his emergency lights and attempted to catch up to the speeding motorcycle.  The motorcycle rider failed to slow down and continued at a high rate of speed.
