State Legislators are planning to create an online questionaire for New York citizens as a way to find out why people are continuing to move out of the state at high rates. Once the data is collected from the questionnaire, roundtable discussions will be held with representatives of workforce development, small businesses, health care, education, economic growth and development, manufacturing and technology to better-understand how industries are being affected by a fall in population. According to the US Census information, New York state’s population has decreased steadily in the past four years. The launch of the questionnaire will be announced at a later date.
