The New York State Troopers PBA (NYSTPBA) and the New York State Police Investigators Association (NYSPIA) have endorsed Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) for re-election to the State Assembly in New York’s 132nd Assembly District.
“I would like to thank NYSTPBA and NYSPIA for their endorsements. It is a great privilege and I am truly humbled and honored to have their support,” said Palmesano. “Our brave and dedicated law enforcement officers have consistently put their lives on the line every day to protect us, our families and our communities. The work they do is immeasurable and words alone cannot express the deep appreciation and gratitude we have and owe to them. I fought alongside my colleagues to oppose and try to repeal the disastrous bail reform law that was so carelessly passed without regard to its dangerous impact on public safety in our neighborhoods and communities around the state. During this unsettling and troubling time of rising violence, anti- law enforcement rhetoric and the dangerous “Defund the Police” movement around our state and country, I will continue to stand up for our dedicated law enforcement officers and the safety of our communities. I appreciate the support and will continue to advocate for our brave men and women on the front lines.”
In addition to the law enforcement endorsements, Palmesano was recently endorsed by a coalition of 11 of the state’s leading business and labor organizations.
