Reed Thanks IRS Commish

April 24, 2020

From Congressman Reed:

This week, Rep. Tom Reed and IRS Commissioner Rettig spoke to coordinate the federal government’s ongoing efforts to distribute economic assistance to millions of Americans.

The two discussed opportunities to enhance the agency’s IT capabilities, as well as collaborate on the rollout of the “Economic Impact Payments and Coronavirus Tax Relief Toolkit.” This suite of resources and best practices was recently circulated to help congressional offices better share critical information and insights to their constituents.

“We’re grateful the IRS is working hard to address digital access concerns and get the American people financial relief as quickly as possible,” said Reed. “As part of our mission to serve our region, we will continue to relay the latest IRS guidance and help our constituents receive all of the benefits they have been fairly allocated.”

Tom will continue to engage with federal agencies to share feedback and make sure the voices of our small businesses owners, seniors, and other members of the community are heard.
