Addressing President Trump’s lawsuit to repeal the Affordable Care Act in the midst of an unprecedented global health crisis, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand issued the following statement: “Our country is in the middle of an unprecedented public health crisis—more than 120,000 Americans have died and millions more have gotten serious ill—and President Trump’s top priority is ripping away health care from millions of Americans. President Trump’s actions are sinful and cruel, and the American people recognize his complete and utter failure to address the COVID crisis. While Trump and Republicans seek to take away people’s health care, Democrats will continue fighting to expand health care to every American.”
