WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Chuck Schumer is trying to get a national firefighter registry of cancer patients who are/were fire fighters, so that medical professionals can track similarities between firefighters who suffer from cancer. Senator Schumer says that cancer is a current hazard of the job.
Schumer hopes that this will help scientific research for cancer patients and those who are firefighters.
