Sheriff Allard Reports Three DWI/DWAI Cases

BATH, NY – From The Steuben Co Sheriff:

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 4th and 5th, 2021, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested three persons for DWI or DWAI.

December 4, 2021; Trevor M. McWhorter, age 26, of Baker Road, Millerton, Pennsylvania. It is alleged that Mr. McWhorter operated a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition on Park Avenue, Corning, New York. It is also alleged that Mr. McWhorter’s blood alcohol content was greater than .18%. Mr. McWhorter was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Loud Exhaust, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage while Operating. Mr. McWhorter was released on traffic summons to appear in the Town of Corning Court at a later date.

December 4, 2021; Jordan J. Cornelius, age 20, of County Route 20, Friendship, New York. It is alleged that Mr. Cornelius operated a motor vehicle while his ability was impaired due to drug use on County Route 66, Hornell, New York. It is also alleged that Mr. Cornelius’ license or operating privileges in New York State were suspended and that he possessed a controlled substance. Mr. Cornelius was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, Fail to Keep Right, and Insufficient Tail Lamps. Mr. Cornelius was released on traffic summons to appear in the Town of Hornellsville Court at a later date.

December 5, 2021; Anthony M. Giardina, age 48, of Tinkertown Road, Addison, New York. It is alleged that Mr. Giardina operated a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition on County Route 6, Addison, New York. It is further alleged that Mr. Giardina operated this vehicle with a passenger under the age of fifteen years. Mr. Giardina was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class E Felony, Driving While Intoxicated, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Moving From Lane Unsafely and Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage while Driving. Mr. Giardina was released on traffic summons to appear in the Town of Tuscarora Town Court at a later date.
