St. James Gives Ebola Training To Hornell Fire Dept.

HORNELL N.Y. – The Hornell Board of public Safety met Thursday, and heard a report from the City Fire Chief Dan Smith, reporting that the department members have received training from St. James Hospital for any Ebola cases that could possibly (but not likely) arise in the area. The department has also gotten equipment and training on the equipment for handling Ebola cases. that equipment will be paid for by Steuben County.

Codes officer Bud Burdett has also had his hands full with a problem concerning feral cats in the Wells street neighborhood, Burdett will team up with the humane society to deal with the issue and get the cat problem under control.
