Steuben Co: There Is A Potential For Flash Flooding Again This Weekend

October 29, 2021

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Steuben County Director of Emergency Services Tim Marshall, tells Wlea News that he is getting worried about how high the water is getting, in rivers, streams and other waterways in the county. “We’re concerned about the level of rain that’s coming in with this next storm system overnight tonight and this evening,” Marshall said. “With our current conditions, with as wet we’ve been, with the rain that we had last week, and then again earlier this week from the Noreaster that went through, streams and creeks are still running pretty high, our groundwater is pretty saturated, so we’re very concerned about the potential for any type of flash flooding this evening.”
