Three Hornell Residents Are Facing Drug Charges

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Police Sgt Investigator Tom Aini reports that Hornell Police executed a search warrant early in the morning at 62 Adsit Street. According to Sgt. Aini and Hornell Police, the search warrant was the result of a three month investigation into the sales and distribution of meth and other controlled substances, at 62 Adsit Street.

James W.L. Burgess, 33, and Kaitlynn R. Pragle, 24, are both charged with one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and criminal nuisance in the second degree.

Also charged, was Gordon L. Cassidy, 48, with one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and criminal nuisance in the second degree. Cassidy is also charged with a parole violation.

All three suspects lived at 62 Adsit Street. The three were transferred to Steuben County Jail and arraigned in CAP court.

Hornell Police were assisted by the Steuben County District Attorneys Office, New York State Police, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, and the Elmira office of NYS Division of Parole.
