On March 11, 2022, at approximately 8:24 A.M., Troopers out of SP Amity responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of County Route 36 and Dow Road in the town of Centerville. Further investigation revealed that a 1997 Chevrolet pickup was traveling south bound on Dow Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. The 2015 Kenworth was traveling north on County Route 36. The Chevrolet was struck after entering the path of the Kenworth. Both the operator, Michael D. Frazier, 71 of Fillmore, NY and the passenger Leonard R. Frazier, 76 of Bliss, NY were both deceased at the scene. Both deceased were not wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.
