BATH, NY – From Bath Village Police Chief Colin Taft:
On 06/14/2023, the Village of Bath Police Department located and arrested Richard T. Stevens, 41 and Amanda L. George, 38 residing in Hornell on Hinkley Hill Rd.
Stevens was arrested on a Superior Court Indictment warrant for 8 counts of Promoting obscene sexual performance of a child less than 17, a class D felony, Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor and 2 counts of Tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony. Stevens is currently listed on the New York State sex offender registry.
George was arrested on a Superior Court Indictment warrant for 1 count of Tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony.
These arrests stems from an investigation by the City of Hornell Police Department and Village of Bath Police department into and alleged incident with Stevens and a juvenile.
Both parties were transported back to the Village of Bath Police Department for processing and transported to Steuben County Court. Stevens and George were arraigned and released back into the public in a matter of minutes.
