HORNELL, NY – John Allison was officially sworn in as a Alderman representing the 3rd ward Thursday evening at Hornell’s City Hall.
Allison, 43, has been a union electrician for 18 years and also a local business owner recently purchasing the Park Drive Car Wash. He, like 7th ward alderman Kevin Valentine, is a lifelong resident of the city.
Mayor John Buckley commented that he was very happy to have John join the team, “I take a little personal satisfaction having John on board,” added the Mayor, “John, like (Kevin) Valentine, grew up in the 9th ward, had a good upbringing and great parents. I look forward to working with John and expect good things from him in the future.”
Buckley has already appointed Allison to three committees; Youth and Recreation, Planning and Development, and Quality of Life. His first official meeting will be the monthly Common Council meeting January 20th at 7pm.
