From State Police: On April 24, 2023, troopers from SP Wayland and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested David W. Dale, age 36, from Arkport, NY for Falsifying Business Records 1st (E Felony) and Criminal Impersonation 2nd (A Misdemeanor) stemming from an incident that occurred on March 1, 2023. On that date, troopers from SP Hornell conducted a traffic stop on State Route 63 in the town of Wayland. The operator, later identified as David W. Dale, provided identification of another person at the time of the traffic stop, causing the traffic tickets to be in the name of someone else. Dale was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and other traffic related infractions. Dale was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP and remanded without bail.
