CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo Village Hall continue water district talks with the Hornellsville Town Board. In other news the Canisteo Village Board has accepted the teamsters contract with the Canisteo DPW. Also, the village board has made its annual donation of $500 to the Hornell HAT bus system.
The new owner of the Citgo gas station came in to the Canisteo Village Board meeting on Tuesday night. His name is Ankar Purani. Officials say that Purani bought the Citgo station from Dave Harding in January. Puraini says he wants to build a bigger building for the Citgo gas station and came to the meeting to get the village board’s approval last night for renovations. Mayor Recktenwald maintains that all signs point to the approval being given. Village board member Jack Beers agrees and said he thinks that with all he work which Purani has put into it that it only makes sense to help him out as much as possible.
