Maple City Savings Bank will be closing both branches at 3pm today.

The following schools are closed:

Alfred State College says that only essential personnel are asked to report today, due to the weather.

Alfred University is also closed, only essential personnel are asked to report.

Allegany County Office of The Aging’s meals on wheels and luncheon centers are cancelled today.

The Hornell City Hall and Hornell Public Library are closed.

The Irish Cultural Week activities at the Hornell Community Arts Center are cancelled for tonight.

The Hornell HAT bus won’t be running to Wayland, Dansville, or Canaseraga, Bath or Alfred.

St James says that Express Care is closed, the Orthopedic Care Center is closed. Patients with appointments are being contacted directly to reschedule. Also, Outpatient Physical Therapy will be closed. Patients with appointments are being contacted directly to reschedule.

Loyala Recovery Foundation in Hornell, their outpatient services, including evening groups, has been cancelled.

Pro-Action in Hornell, their lunch/dinners are cancelled today, please use your home packs.

There is a travel advisory for Steuben County, and Livingston County as well.

Catholic Charities of Steuben is closed, that includes the Bath Day Care Center and the turning point locations in Hornell, Bath and Corning. Steuben County Rural Ministries in Canisteo is also closed.

Hornellsville Town Supervisor Ken Isaman says there won’t be a Hornellsville town meeting tonight.
The Hornellsville Town board will meet instead, Wednesday night, March 15, at 7pm.
The Hornellsville Town Office is closed today.

Arkport Village Hall is closed today, and the Arkport Village budget meeting for tonight has been postponed until Thursday night at 6pm.

No mobile food bank in Canisteo today.

Canisteo Rod & Gun Club Chicken & Biscuit dinner tonight is cancelled.

From Governor Andrew Cuomo:
There is a temporary tractor trailer bans on interstates on I-81, I-84, I-86/Route 17, I-88 and all of the New York State Thruway. The Governor also announced a full travel ban for all of Broome County beginning at 9 am.

Metro North service will also be suspended at 12 pm due to weather conditions. Currently, MTA New York City bus service remains active but as conditions worsen, bus service may be suspended. Travelers are encouraged to check www.mta.info for service updates and to see when their last inbound or outbound trains will depart.

Tractor Trailer Ban
New York State is implementing a travel ban at 9 a.m. for all tractor trailers, including tandem trailers on the full length of the following roadways:

•I – 81
•I – 84
•I – 86/Route 17
•I – 88
•Thruway
