On Wednesday, May 3, as part of National Small Business Week, Congressman Nick Langworthy (R, Buffalo) visited both downtown Alfred and downtown Hornell. During his stop in Alfred, the congressman ate at the Collegiate Restaurant, along with Alfred Village Mayor Jim Ninos, Village Police Chief Paul Griffith and many others. “We had a great roundtable with the mayor of Alfred, some of our county legislators, and in the presidents of Alfred State and Alfred University,” Langworthy said.
In Hornell, Langworthy stopped in to Maple City Savings Bank, Dougs Flower Shop and Woody’s Instant Cash. “I always love my visits here in Hornell. Mayor Buckley, I have no better partner than Mayor Buckley and his team here. It is really important that we go and talk with the people on the front lines of the economy. That’s why we were here at Maple City Savings Bank and these other great businesses here on Main Street, to talk about their challenges, and how I can best, be a voice for them. I want to be seen as a representative in the community that is accessible, that’s available, and that people see in their community. I’m not some far away guy, that’s in Washington. We have an office in Corning, in Olean, in Jamestown and in Clarence, and we have a world class constituent service, ready to help anyone with a problem.”
