ARKPORT-Dean B. Brokaw, 45, of Briggs Rd., found eternal peace following a courageous fight with cancer Monday (August 11, 2014) at his home surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
Born in Hornell, April 4, 1969, the son of Burton and Crystal Ness Brokaw, he had resided all his life in the Dansville-Hornell area. Dean was a graduate of the Dansville Central School, Class of 1987 and had been employed as a truck driver for Southern Tier Provisions in Bath. He was very meticulous with his property and loved fishing and woodworking. Dean will be remembered as a loving family man who was always ready to help someone in need.
He joined his father and nephew Blake.
Dean is survived by his loving wife, Christina Drum Brokaw who he married on April 24, 1993, his children, Garret and Jenna Brokaw both of Arkport, mother, Crystal Brokaw of Ossian two brothers, Douglas (Deborah) Brokaw of Adrian and Daniel (Julie) Brokaw of Avon, two sisters, Darlene Baird of West Sparta and Donna (Todd) Haraty of Arkport, nieces, Rebecca, Sarah, Ginger, Melissa, Naomi, Justine, Erica, nephews, Brandon, Dean, Bryant, Nicholas and Kyle.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday (August 15, 2014) at 11Am at the New Hope Wesleyan Church, 280 Grand St. Hornell, NY 14843 with the Rev. Doug Jones officiating.
