TROUPSBURG, NY – State Police report that there was a fatal accident on Miller Road in the Town of Troupsburg, on Thursday night.
Troopers say that an ATV being operated by a young female, with another young female passenger, attempted to cross Miller Road from the south.
According to state police, the atv driver did not stop and drove directly into the path of a Holland Tractor and struck the bucket of the tractor.
Both of the children were ejected. Officials say they don’t know which of the children was running the ATV.
Jenna D. Miller, 13, Troupsburg, was air lifted to St. James Hospital in Hornell and pronounced dead.
The other occupant, Elizabeth Jones, age 12, from Campbell, was air lifted to Strong Memorial Hospital with massive trauma.
The operator of the tractor was uninjured.
The investigation is continuing at this time.
