Hochul and Buckley Present $10 million DRI to Hornell

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul visited Hornell yesterday to announce the city would be the recipient of a $ 10 million grant for downtown revitalization.
Hochul praised regional councils and the work they do for making the grant possible and for representing the local interests of regions like the Southern Tier.
Hochul said investments like these have spawned a “reawakening of the Southern Tier”
Mayor Buckley thanked the Lieutenant Governor for making what he noted was “a large, impactful investment” and called the Downtown Revitalization Initiative a “game changer” for Hornell.
The Mayor says the City of Hornell will administrate its funds through the city and state as part of a process and set schedule to determine where the money will be allocated. Buckley said an announcement of the process and how the money will specifically be invested will be coming in the next few weeks.
