The following statement is a message from Hornell City Clerk Barb Perrot:
There is a telephone scam going around. Someone posing as a NYSEG agent is calling local businesses stating that they will be around to turn off their electric unless they call a number and pay the outstanding balance. NYSEG has confirmed that it is not them. Residents are encouraged to ignore these calls.
