HORNELL, NY – DPW employee Andrew Doran was recognized Thursday morning by Mayor John Buckley and Lenny Fucci for helping out at the Water Filter plant. Doran has been with the DPW a little over a year, starting at the water plant as summer help on a temporary basis and eventually moving full time as a DPW employee.
Plant head Len Fucci on Doran, “At times, we needed a young strong individual to perform certain tasks, and Andy has went above and beyond of what we have asked him to do all summer. He really shined when we had to do an emergency shutdown on the Water Clarifier, and he had to be to work at 3am working in very adverse conditions.”
Buckley also commented, “By taking on the extra responsibilities this summer and always conducting yourself in a positive and enthusiastic manor, I am proud to present you with this month’s Employee Spotlight.”
