Road Work Going On In Woodhull

April 15, 2019

Statement From The Steuben County DOT:

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that State Route 417 over Tuscarora Creek in the town of Woodhull has been reduced to one lane at a bridge approximately 6.5 miles west of the Village of Addison. This lane closure has been implemented to facilitate bridge maintenance and repairs. Both directions of traffic will be accommodated in one lane using temporary traffic signals. The project is anticipated to last approximately 3 months.

It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
