State Police say there’s a scam going on where the caller states they are a “Trooper” and that they’re investing you for drug crimes. The caller then goes on to ask for personal information and money. “State Police don’t solicit,” noted the statement from NYSP about this scam. It’s apparently been happeing in Rochester and Canandaigua recently, and state police want people to avoid being conned.
