ALBANY, NY – State Senator Cathy Young and other upstate Republicans have been debating New York State Assembly Democrats, over when the date should be held for the New York State Primary. Democrats want the primary date to be held in June, Republicans want it in August. Both political parties argue that more people are on vacation, during the month that they want the primaries (Democrats say that more people in the Empire State vacation in August and Dems want the primary voting in June, Republicans say the opposite: that vacations are in June and the primary should be in August.)
