Alfred Village Police: Suspects Charged With Credit Card Theft, 4th Degree Aggravated Sexual Abuse, DWI And Disorderly Conduct

ALFRED, NY – From Alfred Village Police Sgt. Joshua Van Skiver: On 4/21/2024 around 12am, the Alfred Police Department reports the Arrest of a Rochester male teenager, following a several month-long investigation into stolen credit cards. He Was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree which is a E felony. He Was processed and issued an appearance ticket set to appear in Alfred village court on a later date to answer the charges.

On 4/20/2024 around 3:18pm, the Alfred Police Department reports the arrest of a teenage male from Alfred, that was following an incident that took place on Mill Street and Elm Street in the village of Alfred. The teen was arrested and charged with Obstructing Governmental administration in the second degree, Resisting arrest, and Unlawful possession of alcohol under 21 years old. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket set to appear in Alfred village court on a later date.

On April 20th, 2024, around 2:27 AM the Alfred Police Department reports the arrest of 26-year-old Thomas P Merton of Albuquerque NM, following a traffic stop on Church St. in the Village of Alfred. Further investigation into the traffic stop revealed that Merton was allegedly intoxicated by alcohol. Merton was arrested and charged with Driving while intoxicated, Driving with an expired registration and Turning signal violation. Merton was processed and released on traffic tickets set to appear in Alfred village court on a later date.

On April 28th, 2024, around 1:09 AM the Alfred Police Department responded to the area of Church St. for a large disturbance, fight call. Upon arrival several individuals were physically fighting and had to be dispersed. As a result, this investigation the Alfred Police Department reports the arrest of two females: a teen from Bath and a teen from Wellsboro PA. Both were arrested and charged with Disorderly conduct, fighting in the street. Both of them were processed and released set to appear in Village Court on a later Date.

On May 1st, 2024, around 3:00 PM the Alfred Police department reports the arrest of 22-year-old Daniel Michael of Brooklyn NY following a weeklong investigation into an alleged incident that occurred in the Village of Alfred April 24th. As a result of this investigation, Daniel was arrested and charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse in the 4th degree, Forcible Touching, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and 3 Counts of Unlawfully dealing with a Child in the 1st degree. Daniel was arrested, processed and released, set to appear in Alfred Village Court on a later Date.
