Council 243 of the Knights of Columbus will be holding its annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship at the Hornell YMCA on Saturday January 12 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to compete. The competition will consist of 15 Free throws from the foul line. The foul line will be adjusted for younger competitors. Winners in each age division, for both boys and girls, will receive a trophy and be declared Council Champions. Council champs will move on to represent Council 243 at the District Championship with a chance to move on to higher levels of competition including the New York State Championship. All competitors will receive Certificates of Participation. Competitors should be accompanied by a parent and have a copy of their birth certificate for proof of age. Age group is decided by competitor’s age as of January 1st.
