Roger Aultman, Canisteo

Canisteo – Roger J. Aultman, 62, of 28 Charlie Drive, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (January 8, 2014) at his home.

Born in Champagne, Illinois, July 5, 1951, the son of Olean and Veronica Pyer Aultman, he had resided in Canisteo all his life. He was a 1969 graduate of Canisteo Central School, and had been employed as a truck driver for the Steuben County Highway Department. Roger was an avid NASCAR Fan, especially enjoying his favorite driver, Bill Elliot. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, euchre, and bowling.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Raymond Aultman and his step-mother, Lucy Totten Aultman.

He is survived by his daughters, Emily (Max Reeves) Aultman of Prattsburg and Amy (Tanya Davis) Aultman of Hammondsport, two sons, Jason (Julie) Aultman of Prattsburg and Gary (Nicole Dawson) Aultman of Amsterdam, his brother, Ronald (Polly Carbone) Aultman of Canisteo, 2 sisters, Rita Kame of Arkport and Roberta Norton of Canisteo, 8 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo on Saturday (January 18th) from 1 PM until 3 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Roger’s life and reception following calling hours at 3 PM at the Canisteo American Legion Post, West Main Street Canisteo.
