ABC News has confirmed that Gene Wilder died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83. Wilder starred in Mel Brooks comedy classics Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles, and was known for his iconic portrayal of Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
