BATH, NY – The Bath Village Police say Matthew E. Taft Senior, 37, of Buell Street Bath, is charged for tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony. Officials say that Taft’s arrest stems from an investigation into the death of a male in his 20s who died at his residence, on Tuesday. Taft is in Steuben County Jail, $20,000 bail.
