Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on November 25th, 2020, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Calvin Buck, age 57, of Maple Street, Hornell, New York. It is alleged that in October 2019 Mr. Buck did on several occasions transfer his EBT benefit card to another person knowing they were not authorized for use. Mr. Buck was charged with one count of Misuse of Food Stamps. Mr. Buck was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Bath Court at a later date.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Steuben County Department of Social Services Fraud and Legal Affairs Unit, and the District Attorney’s Office.
