Long Island Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin did a campaign stop in Hornell this morning, visiting with local well wishers. “The innovation and spirit of small counties like Steuben are a major catalyst behind the performance of the larger municipalities from downstate. And just because the downstate municipalities have higher populations doesn’t mean they should determine the outcome of the entire culture of New York State,” Zeldin said to the crowd that was present. “Cuomo has, inconsiderately, been heavy handedly pushing downstate values on us for years. Now is the perfect opportunity for us to push back. Congressman Lee Zeldin is a representative Upstate NY can feel comfortable supporting for Governor.”
Zeldin is the leading republican candidate for governor.
