ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY – Amity Troopers responded to a physical altercation at the American Best Value Inn on State Route 417 Wellsville and determined that Brendan Barnet had choked another party to the point of losing consciousness and physically kept her from leaving a room. Barnet also violated a court issued Order of Protection and had an outstanding warrant from the village of Wellsville.
Barnet was arraigned in at the Wellsville village court and remanded to Allegany County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is due to appear in Wellsville town Court in September 2021.
