Allegany County Gets A Privately Owned Ambulance Service

BELMONT, NY – The Allegany County Legislature made an important vote yesterday: they approved hiring a private company to do ambulance calls for Allegany County residents. The county will be paying up to $600,000 for this company to do six months of ambulance service work.

Funding for this will come from the American Resuce Plan. There were two no votes, two county lawmakers were absent and there were eleven yes votes.
