Republican David Sutfin Announces Candidacy for City of Hornell’s 1st Ward Alderman
“I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of 1st Ward Alderman in the City of Hornell. I’m Dave Sutfin, and I have been a resident of Hornell for my entire life. I have lived in the 1st Ward for over 57 years and raised my family here with my wife, Arlene. Our three daughters are proud of their Hornell heritage, just like I am.
“I am a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and was employed by Agway Petroleum and Suburban Propane until my retirement in 2017. In addition to my professional experience, I am actively involved in my community as a board member and treasurer for Shooters Committee on Political Education (SCOPE). Through SCOPE, I have actively promoted voter registration and political awareness.
“After several years of encouraging others to participate in our electoral process, I felt that running for 1st Ward Alderman seemed to be the next logical step. Having experienced how great the Hornell community is to live and raise a family, I hope to give back and continue to build a strong and vibrant Hornell.
“I am deeply invested in the City of Hornell and its residents. I will be a highly-engaged and active voice for constituents. I plan to work closely with City officials, department heads and City Hall, and most importantly, the residents of the 1st Ward.
“I am committed to serving the residents of the 1st Ward and the City of Hornell to the best of my ability. I hope to earn your vote to be your voice on the Common Council on November 7, 2023.”
