A Student Is Facing A Charge Of Falsely Reporting An Incident

ALFRED, NY – Alfred Village Police Chief Paul Griffith reports that the Alfred Village Police Department is charging an Alfred State College student for allegedly making up a story about being attacked. The student in question is said to have cut his own arm and blamed it on three “suspects” who “attacked” him at Alfred University. Police Chief Griffith says that after a short investigation, it was found that the student had made up the incident and cut his own arm. The student was arrested for Falsely reporting an incident in the 3rd degree and released with an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.

The police chief also says, The Alfred Police Department would like to thank Alfred State College University Police and Alfred University Public Safety for their assistance with this incident.
