The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department reports the death of Sgt. Thomas Sanfretello, 54. Sanfratello died today, after some sort of incident in the line of duty last night in Batavia.
A website called Crimewatch.net reports that the Batavia Police Chief says Sgt. Sanfratello died of a heart attack while escorting two people out of a Batavia Establishment.
Officials say that the Sergeant had been with the sheriff’s office in Genesee County since 1992.
