BATH, NY – Steuben County Public Health officials are raising awareness about a regional suicide prevention program the county is involved with. “Local health departments in the Finger Lakes Region collaborated to launch a multi-county suicide prevention campaign,” said Mealea Vandenberg, from Steuben County Public Health. “This campaign was modelled after the 9-8-8 hotlines, Hashtag – Be The One To – campaign, and it targets at-risk populations and their friends and family. It empowers them to make changes and positive outcomes for those who are struggling with mental health issues,” Vandenberg stated.
