Fire yesterday in Canisteo. Canisteo Fire Chief Don Lewis says it happened in the 1:00 hour Thursday afternoon, and that it was a first floor bedroom fire. Fire Chief Lewis says the fire department was able to stop the fire from spreading. He’s also thanking North Hornell and Greenwood’s fire departments for their assistance.
