The Steuben County Legislature presented the county budget on Tuesday morning in Bath. County Manager Jack Wheeler says the tax levy is projected to increase 1.76%, approximately half of the allowable tax Cap. And Wheeler says, the average tax rate per thousand will decrease 4.71%.”
